Earlier this year Revlon launched a new collection of five mascaras and quickly impressed the beauty world. For some reason mascara is often something I neglect, I wear it every day without fail, but I will wear the same one all the time and not try many others. MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash has been my holy grail and I haven’t tried enough to knock it from it’s place as number one. With the rave reviews and slightly smaller price tag I thought I would give the Ultimate All In One Mascara a go. Read more
I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end….I am back to having eight foundations again T_T I got down to having one ultimate fave and that was all I used and then suddenly all these new foundations were released and I needed them all XD Today’s new(ish) Foundation is Revlon’s Colorstay 2-In-1 Compact Makeup & Concealer. I am fully willing to admit I jump on the makeup bandwagon, you rave about it I buy it. So let’s see if it is worthy of joining my collection of fast growing foundations.

The last few weeks have been quite tough, I have been stuck at home watching bad romance movies and playing too much World of Warcraft. Yesterday I gave my hair a bit of a trim and treated my skin to a face mask or two and slapped on some makeup. I wanted to share with you my Makeup of the Day as I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
Not the most glamorous of faces, but not bad for my first face full in two weeks. I am really pleased with how well the my eye makeup turned out, the eye shadows really made my green eyes pop and Miss Manga Mascara is really growing on me, look at the my eyelashes.

How has your last few weeks been? What have you been wearing on your face?
How have your holidays been? Today is the last day of mine and so it is back to work tomorrow. I have to admit I have enjoyed being home catching on all those things that I meant to do 😉 My blog might not be as frequent as I have been keeping it, but I have a lot of stuff on its way from Boxing Day online shopping, so there will still be a lot to fill the week with.
I have another Revlon Colorburst balm stick for you today. This time Provocateur from the Lacquer Balm collection. I picked this up at the same time as Shameless from my local chemist, they had a buy two for $20 NZD. Read more
I have another lost treasure for you today, Revlon’s Colorburst Matte Balm in Shameless. I picked this beauty up quite a few months ago when the matte balms first came out in New Zealand. I have worn it a heap, especially since purple was so in this winter. Who knows why I never blogged about it though 😮

It is winter here in New Zealand, so it is time to whip out the more vampy lipstick colours. Who am I kidding really?! I wear what ever I like year round, but I find that such dark shades go better with winter clothes. Today’s post is comparing two dark purple lipsticks. MAC’s Cyber and Revlon Va Va Violet. I have heard that Va Va Violet is a dupe for MAC’s cyber. In New Zealand both Revlon and MAC are relatively costly, MAC lippies retail for $40.00 NZD and Revlon lippies retail upwards of $20.00 NZD. Strangely enough Va Va Violet was harder for me to locate in NZ, I ended up finding it in a clearance store for $10.00 NZD.
So I thought I would compare them to see how close they really are.
Mr Gabby came home for the weekend and we went out for lunch today. He then brought me a lipstick, one of the new Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede lipsticky thingies. I picked out 095 Finale a nice bright red (of course). I have only had it on for a few hours and already I love it!
I love red lipstick! There is something about wearing red lipstick that can add that little bit of extra confidence to your look. There is of course different shades and types of red lipstick and of course I have a heap of red lipsticks in my giant collection, all from various brands as well.
I thought I would swatch my favourites for you and line them up side by side to compare them. So take a look :3
