Colour Pop Lippie Stixs in Toucan, Fern and Tootsi

Colour Pop Lippie Stixs in Toucan, Fern and Tootsi

Hello Lovelies!

So today I have for you some of the Lippie Stix shades from Colour Pop; Toucan, Fern and Tootsi. My good friend Leona Carolina gave me these for my birthday, I have been so spoilt! :3 I have been wanting to try Colour Pop’s Lippie Stixs since they came out, they have such great colours!

“Two can tango in this bright pinky red coral in a Matte finish”

Toucan was a picked on a whim, I am not usually a coral type of person, but this looked real pretty. It is a great bold colour, with that real vampy red lipstick look to it, but without being too over the top for day time wear. It wore really well, with only a little top up after lunch needed. I wore a clear lip liner with this one just to be on the safe side as it is a bolder colour, I didn’t really have much movement from it and my lines stayed crisp through out the day.

“Cool-toned violet in a Cream finish, is this shade too fernalicious for you, babe?”

The application of Fern is just perfection, its so opaque and  always get such crisp lines. I had no bleeding with Fern and it stayed on really well throughout the day, it was only at lunch that I had to top it up. I have just dyed my hair pastel purple and this looks so brilliant with it!

“Cool-toned grey beige (“greige”) in a Matte finish, we want to see your Tootsi roll”

MORE NUDE LIPSICK! I am on a nude binge, no lipstick is safe from me now, I need the whole rainbow! Grey beige has been quite big this year, with quite a few brands releasing lipsticks in this spectrum. I was a little nervous that it would make me look like a zombie, but I feel as though I rock it quite well. I think even if it did make me a zombie, my work mates are so use to seeing all colours on me they wouldn’t flinch XD This was a real surprise for me, but I really like the colour and it wears beautifully.

I don’t have a favourite out of these three, I love them all for various reasons! I am so keen to get more Colour Pop Lippie Stixs, at $5.00 USD each I feel as though have a large collection is a real goal XD The shipping to New Zealand is still a little on the steep side for me, but I have a few friends who are always keen to split the shipping.

Have you purchased from Colou Pop before? Do you own any Lippie Stixs?

Have a great day!

❤ Miss T

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Celebrity Skin and Redrum

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Celebrity Skin and Redrum

I have been waiting for ages to share this post with you. For my Birthday my in laws got me not one, but three things on my make-up to die for list; The Balm Nude Dude palette, Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks in Redrum and Celebrity  Skin!! So spoilt! So here the finally are:

“The perfect red: this matte cool toned red looks amazing on any skin tone.”

This red is just so amazing! It wears beautifully for a start so you don’t have to worry about it, you can just look amazing all day long.

Celebrity Skin
“This soft brown nude with a peachy undertone will be everyones “go-to” fav!”

I didn’t know whether I was going to like this, but my recent love of nudes got the better of me and I am glad it did. It looks so great on and just like Redrum it wears beautifully.

I am really happy with my Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks; they wear really well and when you do need to touch them up its easy and still looks flawless. I find that I only need to touch them up after a meal that has oil of some sort in it. They dry very quickly and have a soft and natural finish. You can talk and smile and not worry about it cracking or creasing. Usually when I wear my dry matte lipsticks I have to do the pump half of bottom lip, pump into tube other half and repeat on the top trick, but not with this. Whether its the aplicator or the formula or a combo of both I only need one pump for the bottom and one for the top. This makes application so much easier and gives a much better finish.

I am so excited to get my hands on more and Jeffree Star Cosmetics has some great new shades coming out. If you don’t already follow them on instagram to find out about the new shades.

Do you own any Jeffree Star lipsticks? What would you like to get your hands on?

Trilogy Make-up Be Gone Cleansing Balm

Trilogy Make-up Be Gone Cleansing Balm

Today I have for you an interesting new product; Trilogy’s Make-up Be Gone Cleansing Balm. Wondering what that is? It’s a solid make-up remover, yup solid! Wanna know how it works? Keep reading 😉

Trilogy Makeup Be Gone

Saaaaay what? Its solid?! Yup and chock full of all sorts of goodness that it can even go near your eyes. Don’t worry it warms up very quickly and spreads across your skin evenly and massages into your skin gently lifting up your day’s worth of make-up.

How do you use it?:
I scooped out about a New Zealand $0.10c coin worth of product and rubbed in between the tips of my fingers to start warming it up. Next I started massaging it in, starting at my nose and working outwards across my cheeks. I did all around my face first, ignoring my eyes and lip area. I usually have on a lot of eye make-up so I wanted to make sure I paid a bit more attention to this area and with enough product. Mr Gabby claimed I looked Furiosa after this XD

I found after working the balm into my eye area my finger tips were also quite black from my liquid eye liner, so I cleaned them off and then rubbed more product into my lips. This makes it sound as though I am using a heap of product, but I am not really just enough to coat the tips of my fingers. I worked out pretty quickly to do my eyes and lips last or else I just smeared eye liner and lipstick everywhere XD

Now you need to wash it off with a warm, damp cloth. Don’t be too startled when all of your make-up transfers over to your face cloth, I found I could just rinse it all out with a bit of soap. Better the cloth than your skin :3

So did it remove all the make-up?:
There was so much confidence in how good this was going to be that I was even sent white towels along with my bundle to dry my face on. Trilogy claims it removes every last bit of make-up so that your white towels stay pristine! So? The first time I tried this I forgot about the bit of foundation I blend down my neck, so I got foundation on my new white towels T_T, but no eye liner! After that I remembered my neck and my towels stayed white. It works really well, you just have to remember where you put your make-up that morning. If you have heavy eye-liner on I would recommend possibly having a second go with the balm just to make sure you get everything.

What did it do to my skin?:
It was so very gently, especially around the eye area. No burning, it didn’t make my eyes run, my skin didn’t feel over cleansed afterwards. If anything it felt very moisturised.

Would I buy it again? Yes, I liked how well it took my make-up off and the end of the day without hurting my skin. It can be a little time consuming, but it makes sure you wash your face. I still use my Micellar Water if I am removing my make-up late at night and want it done quickly.

Have you tried any solid make-up removers before?

Thanks for stopping by!

❤ Miss T

P.s. No white towels were permanently harmed in this writing of this post.
