How has your weekend been? Mine has been full of blog photos, Criminal Minds and Captain America Civil War.
Today’s lipstick in the spotlight is NYX Whipped Caviar from the matte range. It is wonderful to have NYX in New Zealand properly and I even braved the first day of the stand opening. They have a great range of products and seem to be quick and keeping the stand well stocked. From my first visit I also picked up the liquid highlighter, primer and soft matte lip cream.
How’s your weekend going?
I have my most recent M.A.C. lipstick to share with you. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the Magic of the Night lipsticks, Evening Rendezvous. I am a sucker for purple lipstick, purple tubes, metallic tubes, matte lipstick and MAC, soooooo I had no will power when it came to Evening Rendezvous.
I have a few purple lipsticks that looked like they would be similar, but lucky for me nothing too close 😉
And here it is, isn’t it beautiful?
Evening Rendezvous lived up to the usual M.A.C. standard and lasted all day long with only minor touch ups needed after lunch. I had no bleeding or feathering and only a little bit of drying in the middle.
The other three lipsticks in the Magic of the Night purple tubes are Please Me, Dark Side and All Fired Up, which are all Permanent lipsticks. I love the tubes, but I will just get those shades in their standard tubes.
Did you get anything from the M.A.C. 2015 Holiday Collection?
❤ Miss T

How have you been? Sorry I have been extra quiet lately, I have been knocked flat by the flu. I also have been fighting an individual who thought it was ok to use one of my posts along with its content and images on their own website. Luckily they have now removed the post, a big thank you to those of you who helped out by leaving them comments. I just wanted to mention that if you wish to use any of my content please ask first and always link back to the original post. Thanks
Today’s post is about an cool Birthday present I received from my lovely lady DelindelDani, you might remember her amazing Guest Post. She bought me a awesome dark purple lipstick from Impulse Cosmetics lipstick, Melancholy. I have been wanting to try their lipsticks for ages now and Melancholy was first on my hit list.I have to admit I am not a super fan of lipsticks coming in lip balm tubes. I like my lipsticks to have points. It no biggie though, I love the label and it is such a beautiful formula that it can be applied with a lip brush without any problems. The pigmentation on this is gorgeous! I have never had such a dark purple that went on so easily and evenly. I am not a fan of the flat top lipstick application so I used a lip liner brush to get my lines and then filled in the rest of my lips straight from the tube. I was impressed though with how much control I had over the application with the flat top, I need to stop being prejudice against flat tops 😉 Boy does Melancholy stay on. It took oil based makeup remover to get it off my lips and even then they were still a little staining afterwards. This does mean that throughout the day the small amount you need to top barely shows through. I found I didn’t have any issues with bleeding, but it is always better to prepare with clear liner just to make sure. When dark lipstick bleeds you look like you belong in a horror movie, so I am always overcautious with my dark lippy 😉 I am very pleased with Melancholy and I look forward to trying some of the other colours from Impulse Cosmetics. Have you tried any of their lipsticks?
Thanks for stopping by!
I have been busy this weekend swatching up a storm today. My light cube and lamps seem to be working really well. It doesn’t really matter now what the weather is doing outside, which makes it so much easier to keep up with blogging. Except of course when my kitten takes over my light cube -_-
Today I have for you my new Melt lipsticks in By Starlight and Belladonna 2. Melt is known for their awesomely coloured matte lipsticks. They have Blow which is a beautiful dark green lipstick and blow which is a epic dark blue lipstick. I am just waiting for them to get back in stock :3 I also have my eye on Shady Lady, a stunning pink.
The boxes are pretty cool, but a bugger to take photos of XD
