Nude ish lipsticks seem to be taken me by storm at the moment, who would have thought that once upon a time I stayed clear of them? Today’s lipstick is from Essence’s Long Lasting Lipstick line in Come Naturally. Read more
Finding a Karen Murrell lipstick on my desk is always such a great surprise. With Winter starting here in New Zealand I expected a Wintery colour, on the darker, possibly berry side, but Orchid Bloom is a Winter pick me up that I did not expect. Karen Murrell describe Orchid Bloom “This mysterious yet alluring new colour, inspired by Karen’s guilty pleasure Slipper Orchids, combines subtle tones of warm coffee brown with a dash of lip-warming blush pink.” Read more
The last few weeks have been quite tough, I have been stuck at home watching bad romance movies and playing too much World of Warcraft. Yesterday I gave my hair a bit of a trim and treated my skin to a face mask or two and slapped on some makeup. I wanted to share with you my Makeup of the Day as I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
Not the most glamorous of faces, but not bad for my first face full in two weeks. I am really pleased with how well the my eye makeup turned out, the eye shadows really made my green eyes pop and Miss Manga Mascara is really growing on me, look at the my eyelashes.

How has your last few weeks been? What have you been wearing on your face?
Jeffree Star has been pumping out some amazing products and with the launch this week of his Skin Frosts and Beauty Killer Eyeshadow Palette I thought I should finally get round to sharing one of my favourite shades, Doll Parts (Celebrity Skin is my other one, you can find it here). Doll Parts was originally launched last year as part of the Holiday collection along with: Drug Lord, Androgyny, Mistletoe and Hoe Hoe Hoe. I was lucky enough to pick up Doll Parts and Mistletoe before they completely sold out.
So lets have a good look at Doll Parts. Read more
Monday is always a good day for a nice bright red lipstick, but really every day is 😉 Today’s lipstick is Monte Carlo from NYX’s Soft Matte Lip Cream range. These have been everywhere for as long as I have been reading and writing blogs. When NYX finally launched a New Zealand store, I knew I had to get at least one of them to see what all the hype was about. Read more
How has your weekend been? Mine has been full of blog photos, Criminal Minds and Captain America Civil War.
Today’s lipstick in the spotlight is NYX Whipped Caviar from the matte range. It is wonderful to have NYX in New Zealand properly and I even braved the first day of the stand opening. They have a great range of products and seem to be quick and keeping the stand well stocked. From my first visit I also picked up the liquid highlighter, primer and soft matte lip cream.
I have a quick post for you today, about some of my MAC Lipstick collection that never quite made a post before now. Now I’m not actually going to review each lipstick, because they are all lovely in their own way and are of the usual quality expected of MAC. Today’s post is just an appreciation of how great they look.
Good Morning Lovelies!
I have another Karen Murrell lipstick for you today. I was sent the gorgeous Coral Dawn to review this time. I don’t own many Coral lipsticks so I was pretty excited to have something bright for the spring season.
I have a lipstick I have been dying to share with you today. MAC’s and Dita Von Teese’s Von Teese a beautiful vivid tomato red. I absolutely adore Dita Von Teese so when I heard she was creating a lipstick with MAC I knew I had to get it. From what I can see it is an online exclusive, so I paid for youshop just to make sure I got it. So beware this post have a few more pictures than usual 😉
I have the pleasure of sharing with you two more of my Karen Murrell Lipsticks. My collection is very quickly expanding to include varying shades all very pretty and good for all occasions and looks.
“This vibrant Poppy flower inspired pink is bursting with passion and drama – tipped to be the must-have colour of the season.”
*happy sigh* Poppy Passion is such a great colour. Its such a gentle pop of colour so if you’re feeling something a little more easy going or not too sure on wearing brighter colours this is just perfect. I wear this during the day time the most, but it would not look out of place out for dinner either.
“Delicate pastel hues of coral and peach unravel on the lips like the breathtakingly Peony flower in full bloom.”
I’m not sure on Peony Petal, I think it does not quite suit my skin tone or it would suit looks that I do not often wear. I will try harder to find ways to wear this as it is a lovely colour and I am trying to be braver with my makeup looks.
Karen Murrell lipsticks are such fantastic quality! None of them have ever let me down. No bleeding, they last ages and are only defeated by food, which is fair enough and are great for my lips. I hope to one day have all of them in my collection.
What lipstick brand always works well for you?
❤ Miss T
