Sensitive skin is something I have faught my whole life. My skin is prone to sore, dry bits on a bad week and then can also experience full blown swollen, dry, itchy, crispy allergic reactions. I usually keep this all under wraps by avoiding anything that makes me react in such a way and only using gentle products on my skin.
I had quite a bad reaction last week and even a little bit of this, while cleaning mould off a wall and woke up the next morning with a swollen face and neck. Scary enough as it was, when most of the swelling had gone down and I was ready for work again my skin looked horrible. My skin was dry, sore and itchy with odd patch of puffiness. Just what I wanted **sarcasm**.
After a recent bout of bad health and then attacked my the horrible sensitive skin allergies I have been spoiling myself with some good skincare products. I stepped into Lush for the first time in a long while on the look for a bath bomb…and then I came out with a heavy bag full of many things…not just for myself, Mr got himself some lovely things too. We might have been back several time though! XD
ANYWAY, on my first adventure into Lush I picked up the Honey Gift box. Honey is an ultimate fave of mine and I thought a gift box was a great way to get a bath bomb and try out a few products while I was at it.
The last few weeks have been quite tough, I have been stuck at home watching bad romance movies and playing too much World of Warcraft. Yesterday I gave my hair a bit of a trim and treated my skin to a face mask or two and slapped on some makeup. I wanted to share with you my Makeup of the Day as I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
Not the most glamorous of faces, but not bad for my first face full in two weeks. I am really pleased with how well the my eye makeup turned out, the eye shadows really made my green eyes pop and Miss Manga Mascara is really growing on me, look at the my eyelashes.

Where has July gone?!
Today I have for you the July round up of products I have been trialling. Some were sent to be for review, some I grabbed and some I have been wanting to tell you about for ages.
So lets have a look.
How has your weekend been? I have spent mine trying to figure out how to use my new camera. DSLRs involve a lot of homework XD I think I am getting there.
Anyway! Today I wanted to share with you some of the products I was trialling in June. Some of these were products I purchased for myself and some of them were sent to me for reviewing.
How has your week been so far? I have a whole week off from work to hang out with my mum, catch up on tv and catch up on my blog. The sun is even shining here in Auckland 😮
Today’s post is about the Weleda Everon lip balm I was sent to review.
Subtly scented with delicate musk rose and vanilla, this long-
lasting lip balm not only protects, but also soothes lips after exposure to the sun and wind and moisturises with jojoba oil and replenishing cocoa butter to keep lips deeply conditioned and feeling soft and smooth. The inclusion of natural waxes provides lips with the added benefit of a sun protection factor of 5 without the use of synthetic UV filters.
