Finding a Karen Murrell lipstick on my desk is always such a great surprise. With Winter starting here in New Zealand I expected a Wintery colour, on the darker, possibly berry side, but Orchid Bloom is a Winter pick me up that I did not expect. Karen Murrell describe Orchid Bloom “This mysterious yet alluring new colour, inspired by Karen’s guilty pleasure Slipper Orchids, combines subtle tones of warm coffee brown with a dash of lip-warming blush pink.” Read more
Good Morning Lovelies!
I have another Karen Murrell lipstick for you today. I was sent the gorgeous Coral Dawn to review this time. I don’t own many Coral lipsticks so I was pretty excited to have something bright for the spring season.
Happy New Year!
I hope you have been enjoying the holidays. I have enjoyed my break and feel ready for 2016.
2015 was a great year for me and my blog. I was able to attend several blogging events and met other awesome bloggers. My blog broke its previous record for yearly views well and truly. And of course the name change from MaSucree’s Makeup Musings to Miss T’s Makeup. Thank you all who have stopped by and made blogging such a great experience for me.
To close 2015 and start 2016 properly I thought I would share with you some of my favourite products, brands, websites and youtubers from 2015.
Favourite Products of 2015:
It was harder than I thought to pick just a handful of favourites from the year, but I picked just the ones that I would buy over and over again ^_^
Real Techniques Brushes – I have heard so much about these brushes, but it took me so long to find a place that would ship to NZ that I only got some in 2015. My favourites out of my small collection is the foundation brush and Blush Brush. Blog Post.
Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks – Oh man how have I even lived without these??? Celebrity Skin is my go to lipsticks for when I don’t wanna think about what is on my face, but I wanna look good. Beautiful quality and beautiful colours. Blog Post.
L.A.Girl Pro Conceal HD concealer -. I have four of them!! They go with me everywhere, just a great all round concealer with a very small price tag. Blog Post.
Karen Murrell Lipsticks – I have been lucky enough to have my collection of Karen Murrell lipsticks send to me for review, but I would buy these with my own money too! Not too intense, great for your lips and super pretty colour range. Blog Post.
Garnier Micellar Water – I hopped on that bandwagon and fell in love!! Four bottles in one year later and I am still a fan, don’t get me wrong but I will try others still XD. Blog Post.
Essence Eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadows are such a great way to try out new colours without dropping a mint on them. This just reminded me how much I have that I haven’t blogged about yet T_T Blog Post.
Favourite Brands of 2015:
There were quite a few brands I was introduced to in 2015 and some I even found again after a break or a revamp in their quality.
L.A. Girl – everything I grabbed in 2015 worked amazingly well for such a small price. I had tried them a few years ago and felt quite let down, but they quickly took over my collection in 2015 and I look forward to what they have to offer in 2016. Website.
Essence – I sorta went a bit beserk on the old Essence this year, I felt like I found better quality products and better luck with them. Their Trend Editions are so obsessive. Website.
Trilogy – Again like Karen Murrell, all of my Trilogy from 2015 was sent to me to review and I loved all of it. I had used it five years ago and 2015 just reignited my love for the brand and my want to look after my skin. Website.
Jeffree Star Cosmetics – Jeffree Star wowed me all of 2015 with their colour selection and their hints of what 2016 holds for their makeup collection. I can’t wait to expand my collection :3 Website.
ColourPop – Finally beauty lovers from New Zealand were able to order from ColourPop and get our hands on their inexpensive goodies. I really love their Lippie Stix and can’t wait to get hold of their new liners. Website.
Favourite Places to Buy in 2015:
I didn’t do as much buying online in 2015 as I thought I did, nor did I find many different places to buy, but the few I did have me going back for more…sometimes when I shouldn’t XD
Makeup.co.nz – an awesome New Zealand online store that ships almost instantly and keeps up with beauty trends. Website.
iHerb – Shipping is pretty good from iHerb and they have a good selection of Real Techniques, E.L.F. and a few others brands which can be harder to find in NZ. Website.
Life Pharmacy – So close to work and home and I just spend too much money there XD.
Looking forward to trying: Sephora NZ squeeee!!!
Favourite Youtubers of 2015:
I’ve only in the last few months gotten really into watching beauty bloggers. So here are my favourites from 2015.
PinUp Doll Ashley Marie
Loving: Grav3yard girl this year, binge watching too many vids XD
So those are just a few of my favourite things of 2015. Here’s hoping 2016 is even better! Thanks for stopping by and supporting me!

I have the pleasure of sharing with you two more of my Karen Murrell Lipsticks. My collection is very quickly expanding to include varying shades all very pretty and good for all occasions and looks.
“This vibrant Poppy flower inspired pink is bursting with passion and drama – tipped to be the must-have colour of the season.”
*happy sigh* Poppy Passion is such a great colour. Its such a gentle pop of colour so if you’re feeling something a little more easy going or not too sure on wearing brighter colours this is just perfect. I wear this during the day time the most, but it would not look out of place out for dinner either.
“Delicate pastel hues of coral and peach unravel on the lips like the breathtakingly Peony flower in full bloom.”
I’m not sure on Peony Petal, I think it does not quite suit my skin tone or it would suit looks that I do not often wear. I will try harder to find ways to wear this as it is a lovely colour and I am trying to be braver with my makeup looks.
Karen Murrell lipsticks are such fantastic quality! None of them have ever let me down. No bleeding, they last ages and are only defeated by food, which is fair enough and are great for my lips. I hope to one day have all of them in my collection.
What lipstick brand always works well for you?
❤ Miss T
Supposedly there is only 37 days till Christmas. Who keeps telling me these things? Where has my year gone?? I feel like I have just looked up and now I have to find presents for all my family, woops XD
Today’s post I thought about posting as a to buy for someone for Christmas, but, really buy yourself something! Treat yourself! Wrap it up and put it under your tree or just buy it and enjoy it straight away. Sometimes you just need something for yourself. So today’s post is a gift set from Karen Murrell.
The lipsticks are gorgeous as usual and the box is kinda cool, but I miss the standard pretty boxes that Karen Murrell lipsticks come in. Oh well, I am a bit of a box hoarder. The bracelet was a bit on the small side and not something I would pick, but a nice extra for a gift set.
Top: Rymba Rhythm
Bottom: Camellia Morning
“a vibrant rich red”
This is a great red, not too dark, not too pale and with no great leaning towards orange or blue. I have worn this a few times, it is nice with just mascara and a bit of blush and works well for day time wear without being too much.
“a dusky show-stopping cerise pink”
It has really taken me a bit to get into pinks this light, but this is a great for a natural look or you can doll it up a bit and it looks super cute. I have worn this one the most out of the two, which was a surprise.
Like all the other Karen Murrell lipsticks I have tried these had the same outstanding quality, beautiful to go on and made my lips fell good all day. No bleeding, lasted for quite a few hours until it was time for lunch. It is always a pleasure to wear Karen Murrell lipsticks. They looks great for work, a night out and even just a casual look.
I am not too sure on the availability of the Christmas Gift Kits anymore, but check your local stockists to see if you can find them. If not, don’t panic you can still get Rymba Rhythm and Camellia Morning and the price is not too different.
Do you celebrate Christmas? How is your Christmas shopping going?

Other Karen Murrell Lipstick Posts:
Hows it going! I am home today from work with the start of a cold. Boo! But I have been able to get the last few things changed over to my new blog name as well as get some pictures sorted.
I wanted to start with my newest Karen Murrell lipsticks; Sand Storm, Red Shimmer, Fuchsia Shock and Pink Starlet. It has taken a great amount of time for me to be happy with these photos, I am still learning to use my new camera so please forgive me that the swatches are not up to my usual standard.
Here we go!
“Inspired by the rugged natural beauty of Highway 1 USA. Sand Storm is nature at its finest which envelopes the lips in a subtly sandy brown shade.”
I am not too taken with Sand Storm, its not a bad colour, I think I just have the wrong skin tone for it. It makes me work super hard for it too look right and sometimes you don’t need a lipstick like that in your collection. Of course you have the wonderful Lani from Lani Loves who makes it look amazing, so don’t just take my word on it 😉
“Red Shimmer evokes feelings of confidence and strength. I always feel a wash of excitement come over me as I apply Red Shimmer… like something exciting is going to happen.”
I am still on the fence with Red Shimmer, sometimes it looks lovely on me, sometimes it washes me out. That might be more what I am wearing and the make-up I have on. So it is a little hard working, lucky for it, it is a nice colour I am prepared to make it work, I just need to think a little harder with this colour.
“Fuchsia Shock brings out my ultimate girl power! Strong and playful.”
I really like how bold this is, but not too over the top. It looks great with my hair (which is currently pastel purple) and is good for both day and night looks. I really enjoy wearing this.
“The blue/gold base highlights all skin, eye and hair colours, perfect for anyone who wants an easy fail-safe colour to build self-confidence.”
Pink Starlet is a lovely pink and I have enjoyed wearing it quite a bit. I wear this with more toned down looks, where I bung on some foundation, some mascara and this lipstick and get on with the day. It gives you a bit of colour without you having to worry about pairing it with the right look.
I really love using Karen Murrell lipsticks, they are great quality and are so kind to your lips. All of the shades I have stay on your lips for a reasonable amount of time, but are not too much of a pain to reapply if you need to. I don’t suffer from any bleeding or drying. Sand Storm and Red Shimmer could be a little bit patchy in places for me, but that is just the type of finishes they have I think.
I am so pleased with my little collection of lipsticks, I think my favorites so far are True Love and Violet Mousse.
Do you own any Karen Murrell Lipsticks? What shades would you like to get?

Where has July gone?!
Today I have for you the July round up of products I have been trialling. Some were sent to be for review, some I grabbed and some I have been wanting to tell you about for ages.
So lets have a look.
How has your weekend been? Mine has been filled with lots of shopping, too much chocolate and not enough Gym XD
Today’s post is all about…nude lipstick! I know, I really am broadening my horizons with all these nude lipsticks lately. This one is from Karen Murrell and arrived a month ago for me to review. Lets check it out!
Good Morning Lovely People,
Happy Friday! Today I have for you the latest red lipstick to be added my collection. True Love is from Karen Murrell and it is their 20th lipstick, so in celebration they have released it in a limited edition copper coloured tube with engraved flowers. It is described as a “ust-worthy blue-based red”. I have reviewed quite a few Karen Murrell lipsticks, so when this one arrived in a cute heart shape box (not standard packaging) I was excited to give it a go. The other Karen Murrell lipsticks I have reviewed are Sugar Rush, Coral Dawn and Racy Rita if you’re interested 🙂
So let’s take a look at True Love.
How have you been? I’m sorry that it has been such a long while since you heard from me. My work had a stall at the Auckland Armageddon expo which took up all my time planning and then I was wiped out afterwards. But! Here I am again ready to show off some of the latest additions to my collection.
