Eyeshadow is hard for me. Lipstick, contour, everything else I can do and if I may say so I do it well, but eye shadow some days I just can’t. I feel like I never end up with a good look. So for the last wee while my focus has been on mastering eyeshadow and bringing different colours and looks into my every day makeup looks. One of the things I have learnt while doing this is that you need an eyeshadow primer. I have used my Jordana eye primer off and on when I remembered, but when I got serious about upping my eyeshadow game I knew I had to start and eyeshadow primer hunt.
Freedom Cosmetics and Makeup Revolution are always the best place to start for me. In my recent haul from TAM beauty I slipped in a eyeshadow primer and hoped it would lead me down the path of fly eye makeup. Read more
Mascara is one of the easiest things to collect, but that doesn’t mean everyone you magically end up with is a good one. In a mascara I look for something that with fully coat all my lashes without clumping them together and make them look as full as possible. After using Revitalash I am blessed with quite lush eyelashes at the moment, but something that would make them look longer wouldn’t go a miss.
Maybelline recently launched their Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara designed to give lashes a dark, sultry look, with all the volume and a formula designed to keep them beautifully curled and in place. Yes Please!
Maybelline has launched new face products left, right and center lately. With my weakness for foundations I knew I had to try the new Dream Velvet Foundation and then when they launch products together, you just have to get all of them together. Or you know just get excuses to buy more makeup XD So I purchased then Master Conceal, Dream Velvet Foundation and Master Fix Setting Spray.
Back again with more swatches of the L.A.Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipsticks. Over and over again they keep impressing me and sending me back to buy more! In part three of my swatch fest I have Vavoom, Bliss, Hot Stuff and Snuggle for you today.
2016 seems to be the saga of the makeup removal for me. I have tried a great number of really good ways to remove your makeup this year, from cloths that just need water, cream cleansers, different Micellar waters and wipes. Each has there only awesome way of removing my makeup, but some have fallen down in other areas despite being amazing. None have truly swayed me to repurchase either because they still needed a lot of product or rubbing to get it to work or stripped my skin too much or couldn’t be used more than three or four times a week. On I went to find something bigger and better to help me remove my makeup.
Then along came Lush…
Too Faced has always had such cute packaging and I am always such a sucker for packaging! Since they came out with the Love Flush blushes I knew that I need at least one of them in my collection and now that I got my hands on Your Love Is Kings I hope some of my makeup lust is satisfied. Read more
Face masks have been creeping their way back into my skincare routine lately and a big player has been Lush Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask. My skin woes are the usual sensitive, but sometimes oily and sometimes dry and if I use the wrong mask at the wrong time all Hell breaks use. Rosy Cheeks is my first Lush face mask and promises to give you soft, matte and calm skin, just what I need in my life. Read more
Matte Liquid Lipsticks have become quite the obssession of mine, they come in such a range of colours and generally last all day long. Australis has their own line of matte liquid lipsticks that I reviewed when they first came out and they have yet again lured me in with their great range of colours. With 24 colours in the standard range of Velourlips Matte Lip Creams and quite a few Liniteds Editions ones too, there is quite a number that I need in my life. Read more
Contouring has quickly become an every day part of my makeup routine, to the point where I do not feel right without it. I do not harcour contour, I do a line down underneath the cheek bone, underneath my chin and along my jawline and on either side of my temple and then buff it out so it is nice and gentle. Australis AC ON TOUR palette has been my go to for months and I have only ever used matte shades to contour. I decided it was time to step out of my comfort zone when I saw how pretty Rimmel’s Kate Sculpting Palletes were. Read more
This poor post took a back pedal when I had my bad skin reactiom a few weeks ago. So it has taken even longer for everything to get thoroughly reviewed. I have been lucky enough to have tried all four of the Manuka Doctor Face Masks, I have review two of them previously, but I thought I would bring them all together in one big post.
Face Masks have never really been a favourite of mine, I wind up being far too time poor to even remember to use them. I recently have started making time to look after myself and face masks have been a great part of this and have slotted themselves more naturally into my day than I thought. The Manuka Doctor masks have been amazing to work with and actually paired together better than I thought they would. Read more
