2016 seems to be the saga of the makeup removal for me. I have tried a great number of really good ways to remove your makeup this year, from cloths that just need water, cream cleansers, different Micellar waters and wipes. Each has there only awesome way of removing my makeup, but some have fallen down in other areas despite being amazing. None have truly swayed me to repurchase either because they still needed a lot of product or rubbing to get it to work or stripped my skin too much or couldn’t be used more than three or four times a week. On I went to find something bigger and better to help me remove my makeup.
Then along came Lush…
This poor post took a back pedal when I had my bad skin reactiom a few weeks ago. So it has taken even longer for everything to get thoroughly reviewed. I have been lucky enough to have tried all four of the Manuka Doctor Face Masks, I have review two of them previously, but I thought I would bring them all together in one big post.
Face Masks have never really been a favourite of mine, I wind up being far too time poor to even remember to use them. I recently have started making time to look after myself and face masks have been a great part of this and have slotted themselves more naturally into my day than I thought. The Manuka Doctor masks have been amazing to work with and actually paired together better than I thought they would. Read more
Sensitive skin is something I have faught my whole life. My skin is prone to sore, dry bits on a bad week and then can also experience full blown swollen, dry, itchy, crispy allergic reactions. I usually keep this all under wraps by avoiding anything that makes me react in such a way and only using gentle products on my skin.
I had quite a bad reaction last week and even a little bit of this, while cleaning mould off a wall and woke up the next morning with a swollen face and neck. Scary enough as it was, when most of the swelling had gone down and I was ready for work again my skin looked horrible. My skin was dry, sore and itchy with odd patch of puffiness. Just what I wanted **sarcasm**.
I was at my local Chemist the other day perving on the lipstick (as you do) and came across the makeup remover cloth. I had seen a tonne of posts and videos about the makeup eraser and even though this was a different brand I thought I would give it a go. I have been all about the makeup removal process recently, I feel like I have mastered the ability to keep my makeup on all day long, but with longer wearing makeup comes the struggle to get it off. I usually balance my removal between face wipes and my Goodness cleanser, but some days I just don’t feel like it. So the idea of a face cloth I just added water to and wiped it all off sounded amazing.
My poor poor hands and nails, I have always been horrible at taking care of my nails. Even back when I first started blogging and nail polish was the main thing I blogged about, I didn’t take very good care of them. Work does not help either, they get banged up quite a bit. I was sent the new Weleda Cuticle Sofetner and Nail Care Pen and was quite curious to whether they would help out my poor battered hands. They definitely made it very easy to take with you, they just pop in your hand bag, I even took to leaving them on my work computer, since they are bright red you can’t miss them either.Cuticle Softener: Read more
Once upon a time when my work schedule was easier I used to have a day at home to myself where I watched TV and looked after my skin. Now I feel like its a good day when I remember to put eye cream on, being a beauty blogger helps, but when I haven’t got any skincare to review I usually fail quite badly. So this year I made the plan to look after my skin better. Again being a beauty blogger who gets sent lovely PR samples it does help. One of the awesome things I have been sent recently is a exfoliating face mask from Oasis Beauty called Fruit Smoothie. I really adore Oasis Beauty products, so I was quite pleased to give this a go.

Good Morning Lovelies,
How was your Easter Holidays? I have been swimming, baking and generally taking it easy. Its that time again! I have had quite a number of products I have been trialing and thought I would roundup some of my faves for you.
Lets take a look at what has been on my face and skin for the last month!
Hello lovely people!
How’s it going? Life has been getting in the way of blogging again, much to my annoyance. I moved house and now live three minutes walk from the beach in a house with an amazing sun room, which is perfect for photos.
So my first post back from my hiatus is one I can not believe took me so long to write because I enjoyed using the products so much. Weleda were lovely enough to see me the three new products in their Almond Sensitive Range back in October and I have been using them ever since. The three new products were a body lotion, hand cream and a body wash.
“Weleda’s NEW Almond Sensitive Body Care range satisfies the needs of sensitive skin holistically. It gently calms and encompasses sensitive skin like a protective shell and balances the mind and soul with the delicate scent of almond essential oil. Reduced to a few, carefully selected ingredients, it calms and gently cares for the skin, and restores the skin’s natural balance.” Read more
How are you going? I am practically melting in this horrible Auckland heat T_T I thought today would be a good day to share my review of the Oasis Beaut Sunblock; Oasis Sun!
Oasis Beauty have been spoiling me lately as well worrying about my skin in the sun for me. They have sent me Rhino Repair for when my skin is already overcooked from the sun or freaking out, Oasis Sun to keep the bad sun rays at bay and The Hydrator to keep my skin in tip top condition so I am more than happy to show some skin at the beach. Keep an eye out for my review of the The Hydrator, but today I have for you a very in-depth review of Oasis Sun an SPF30 sun block. I wanted to have as much information in this post as possible, because you do not mess around with the sun and your skin. Mr Gabby even helped with this post as leading up the holidays he spent far more time outside than me, oh the life of a Librarian T_T
