Finding a Karen Murrell lipstick on my desk is always such a great surprise. With Winter starting here in New Zealand I expected a Wintery colour, on the darker, possibly berry side, but Orchid Bloom is a Winter pick me up that I did not expect. Karen Murrell describe Orchid Bloom “This mysterious yet alluring new colour, inspired by Karen’s guilty pleasure Slipper Orchids, combines subtle tones of warm coffee brown with a dash of lip-warming blush pink.” Read more
I have only recently started using setting sprays and learning just how awesome they are, so when I saw Loreal has created one for the same awesome line that the Infallible Matte primer and 24HR Matte foundation was from I knew I had to give it a go. I also wanted to get in before social media blew it up and I couldn’t get my hands on it XD
I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end….I am back to having eight foundations again T_T I got down to having one ultimate fave and that was all I used and then suddenly all these new foundations were released and I needed them all XD Today’s new(ish) Foundation is Revlon’s Colorstay 2-In-1 Compact Makeup & Concealer. I am fully willing to admit I jump on the makeup bandwagon, you rave about it I buy it. So let’s see if it is worthy of joining my collection of fast growing foundations.
“Expertly matched shades of makeup and concealer for a flawless, longwearing look that’s perfect for you. Smooth, blendable formula with buildable coverage and a demi-matte finish.” Read more
The last few weeks have been quite tough, I have been stuck at home watching bad romance movies and playing too much World of Warcraft. Yesterday I gave my hair a bit of a trim and treated my skin to a face mask or two and slapped on some makeup. I wanted to share with you my Makeup of the Day as I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
Not the most glamorous of faces, but not bad for my first face full in two weeks. I am really pleased with how well the my eye makeup turned out, the eye shadows really made my green eyes pop and Miss Manga Mascara is really growing on me, look at the my eyelashes.

How has your last few weeks been? What have you been wearing on your face?
Jeffree Star has been pumping out some amazing products and with the launch this week of his Skin Frosts and Beauty Killer Eyeshadow Palette I thought I should finally get round to sharing one of my favourite shades, Doll Parts (Celebrity Skin is my other one, you can find it here). Doll Parts was originally launched last year as part of the Holiday collection along with: Drug Lord, Androgyny, Mistletoe and Hoe Hoe Hoe. I was lucky enough to pick up Doll Parts and Mistletoe before they completely sold out.
So lets have a good look at Doll Parts. Read more
Monday is always a good day for a nice bright red lipstick, but really every day is 😉 Today’s lipstick is Monte Carlo from NYX’s Soft Matte Lip Cream range. These have been everywhere for as long as I have been reading and writing blogs. When NYX finally launched a New Zealand store, I knew I had to get at least one of them to see what all the hype was about. Read more
Today’s post is about L.A. Girl’s HD Pro Setting Matte Finish Spray. I have been quite fond of L.A. Girl lately, they have good quality products with even better price tags. I have never used a setting spray before in my makeup routine and there are so many out there, that I thought it a good idea to start off with one that would not break the bank it I didn’t like it.
So let’s have a look and see how well it did.
Hows it going? Its getting kinda chilly here in Auckland, but its a good excuse to stay inside and watch too much tv. I have just started watching the Flash, anyone else watching it?
ANYWAY! Today’s post is all about L’Oreal’s latest Infallible Foundation and primer; 24hour matte foundatio and the matte priming base.
How has your weekend been? Mine has been full of blog photos, Criminal Minds and Captain America Civil War.
Today’s lipstick in the spotlight is NYX Whipped Caviar from the matte range. It is wonderful to have NYX in New Zealand properly and I even braved the first day of the stand opening. They have a great range of products and seem to be quick and keeping the stand well stocked. From my first visit I also picked up the liquid highlighter, primer and soft matte lip cream.
