Contouring has quickly become an every day part of my makeup routine, to the point where I do not feel right without it. I do not harcour contour, I do a line down underneath the cheek bone, underneath my chin and along my jawline and on either side of my temple and then buff it out so it is nice and gentle. Australis AC ON TOUR palette has been my go to for months and I have only ever used matte shades to contour. I decided it was time to step out of my comfort zone when I saw how pretty Rimmel’s Kate Sculpting Palletes were. Read more
Earlier this year Revlon launched a new collection of five mascaras and quickly impressed the beauty world. For some reason mascara is often something I neglect, I wear it every day without fail, but I will wear the same one all the time and not try many others. MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash has been my holy grail and I haven’t tried enough to knock it from it’s place as number one. With the rave reviews and slightly smaller price tag I thought I would give the Ultimate All In One Mascara a go. Read more
Highlighter is such a guilty pleasure of mine. I often find myself with a cart full of highlighters and nothing else. You really do not have to talk me in to buying any highlighter and it wasn’t much different when it came to the Sleek Precious Metals Highlighting Palette. I had seen in reviewed so many times that I just had to get it!
NYX has been in New Zealand for a while now and finally brought more stands to more Farmers. I may have endulged…rather heavily at my new local stand XD I I picked up quite a few things, some of them were the Hot Singles Eye Shadows. I have never tried these before, so I was I tried to get a range of colours.
I have adored matte liquid lipsticks for such a long time and have been so pleased that some easier to find brands have been launching their own. Maybelline has had their Vivid Mattes out for a while now, but it has been quite hard to get one as the stand is always empty. I was lucky enough to be taken out shopping for my Birthday and the lipstick Gods smiled on me that day as there was a full stand of Maybelline. I picked up Nude Flush and Rebel Red. Read more
I have wanted this palette ever since I first saw the early swatches on Instagram. My love of peanut butter knows no bounds and I thought what product could be better suited to be my first from Too Faced. Read more
Red lipstick is such a weakness of mine, even though I tend towards the nude lipsticks in my day to day work look, you can never beat a beautiful red lipstick. A huge portion of my lipstick collection is still reds.
L.A.Girl Matte Flat Lipsticks really impressed me with their quality and they have quite the range of colours. The last time I stopped by a L.A.Girl stand I picked up three more…they were all some type of red XD.
Eyelashes were never something I thought too hard about, I applied mascara to them and that was it. It was not till I was sent Revitalash that I began to spend a bit of time looking at and thinking about them.
For those of you who have not heard of Revitalash it is a product promoted to help your eyeslashes grow. The brand also has other products, including a mascara and mascara primer that I was also lucky enough to be sent.
In today’s post I am going to review all three. Read more
Who would have known that brows would day be so important to me and my makeup routine? XD Once I started filling in my brows, there was no way I could ever stop. I have used different brow products over the years and pomade has been my favourite for a while now, but it was time to lighten the colour I used again. I’m growing out my natural hair colour and it is very light compared to what I once had, so I have been able to try a few different brands and shades while I am trying to get my hair colour settle on one shade. I saw that L.A. Girl had launched their own series of brow kits and thought I would give them a go while I was on the hunt for a new shade. I purchased the lightest kit in the Inspiring Brow Kit series and was quite pleased to see it came with two shades.
