Hows it going? Its getting kinda chilly here in Auckland, but its a good excuse to stay inside and watch too much tv. I have just started watching the Flash, anyone else watching it?
ANYWAY! Today’s post is all about L’Oreal’s latest Infallible Foundation and primer; 24hour matte foundatio and the matte priming base.
I adore matte foundation, I am prone to oily patches, especially on my forehead and matte foundation seems to be the best for me. So when I head rave reviews about Loreal’s latest primer/foundation combo I knew I had to get my hands on it. It did prove quite hard to get hold of as my colour was always sold out XD So finally it was mine!! I picked up the shade 13. Rose Beige.
I love the packaging and the amount of product you get, especially the primer. Primer usually comes in a teeny tiny tube and always runs out before your foundation does, but the primer is exactly the same size!! It did take me a little bit to get used to how much product I could accidentally squirt out, but the tip does make it a little easy.Mattyfing Base:
“The Infallible Priming Base instantly transforms the skin, resulting in a perfectly smooth and velvety texture. Your foundation glides on seamlessly and makeup results are improved. With a subtle cooling effect, it prepares the skin by minimising imperfections, pores and shine.”This primer really is magic! I tried the foudation without primer, with different brands and it performed really well, but the mattifying base primer adds that next level of flawless finish and staying power. It also feels great going on and your skin feels and looks so good once it is on. I love using this primer and for $35.99 NZD I am happy to keep buying it, because even though it is not the cheapest there is sooooo much of it.
24 Hour Matte Foundation:
“Infallible Matte is an easy to spread, lightweight, liquid emulsion that is never dull and never cakey. Infallible Matte resists sweat, stress, heat and humidity with no shine and no mask effect. Combining extreme hold and absolute comfort, the matte formula is impeccable all day with no touch-ups required. Only the smoothest formula that lets your skin breathe, containing 1/3 water for a stretching glide and maximum comfort for all day wear. Perlite technology acts like mineral micro sponges to help absorb excess oil and water, so it is clinically proven waterproof, sweat proof and steam proof.”
I am super impressed with this foundation, sometimes with products that get a lot of hype I find they don’t always work for me, but with this it was perfect. Coverage is amazing! It blends so easily despite offering such effortless coverage and settles into a pretty flawless and natural looking, matte finish. Is a little easy to get a bit too much out of the tube, (I can be very heavy handed early in the morning), but I find any extra is blended in nicely. Doesn’t look too heavy and doesn’t suffer from shine later on in the day. I can touch my face a bit and come away with none on my hands, I still try not to touch my face though. I did get a little creasing under the eyes, but that might have also been concealer and too much product as it didn’t happen often.
Combined with the primer this is truly amazing to use and my face looks morning fresh even at the end of the day. The foundation $39.99 NZD,which is pretty average for L’Oreal in New Zealand and not too bad a price for the quality and amount you get. I am keen to get replacements when these eventually run out, I just keep reaching for this every day and they keep performing up to standard.
Have you tried the latest L’Oreal Infallible matte primer and foundation?
Thanks for stopping by!
