July 2015 Round Up

July 2015 Round Up

Good Afternoon,

Where has July gone?!

Today I have for you the July round up of products I have been trialling. Some were sent to be for review, some I grabbed and some I have been wanting to tell you about for ages.

So lets have a look.

July Round Up

Karen Murrell Moisture Stick:
– Sent for Review
– $30.00 NZD
– Available at Life Pharmacy (NZ), Healthcare Stores, Karen Murrell website (international)

I really like how soft this feel going on your lips, its also very light. I like to use this before putting on lipstick, it hydrates well, but is light enough to not disturb your lipstick. On quiet days when I have little to know makeup on this is also quite nice on its own.

I am in two minds about repurchasing this, on one hand its a great product, feels good, works well and is all natural. On the other hand its a fancy lip balm that costs $30.00 NZD. But really, yeah I would totally get it again! I am so bad at using lip balm, but splashing out on a fancy one makes me more inclined to use it!

Manuka Doctor ApiNourish Rejuvenating Face Mask:
– Sent for Review
– $84.95 NZD
– Available at Life Pharmacy (NZ) and Manuka Doctor website (international)

“Helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while its antioxidant qualities support the anti-ageing of skin. Regular use of the Manuka Doctor Rejuvenation Face Mask may also help reduce the look of scars.”

It tingles! I did not have any problems with it stinging or aggravating my skin in anyway. It is really easy to use, spread an even amount all over your skin, leave it on for ten minutes and then wipe it off.  I noticed that my skin looked good after using it, plump and refreshed. I think you would get better results using it more frequently and it is even recommended. The one problem with that, is that you do use a good amount of it each time and I feel a bit precious over how much I use. To be fair I would use this once or twice a week and based on that I reckon you would get three to four months out of a pot. Not too bad.

Would I repurchase? Maybe if I had vouchers or was feeling particularly fancy, but regularly? I don’t know, it is an excellent product, but very much a luxury product for me.

Apicare Manuka Honey Rich Natural Body Crème With Warm Vanilla:
-$19.90 NZD
-Full list of stockists NZ and international here

I love this so much and I am so pleased it is again easy to get your hands on. I felt like it was hard to find for a while. This has such a great smell, which hangs about all day. My skin always feels good after using this Its on the thick side so can take a bit of work to get it rubbed in, but well worth the effort. I would buy this over and over again! If you’re not into vanilla, there are more scents to try 🙂

Wild Ferns Lanolin Eye Creme with Collagen & Vitamins A & E:
$14.70 NZD
– Available NZ Gift Stores, Wild Ferns NZ website and international locations listed here

I have seen this brand around a lot here in NZ and thought I would give it a go, especially at such a reasonable price. It is nothing super duper amazing or revolutionary, but it is still a nice eye cream. The skin around my eyes is the most sensitive and I had no problems with this, if anything it helped protect my skin from any irritation, while also keeping it well hydrated and looked after.

I would definitely buy this again, it is a good eye cream to have in your arsenal.

L.A. Girl Pro Conceal High Definition Concealer:
– $13.00 NZD
– Available at Makeup Clearance website (NZ), L.A. Girl NZ website (NZ),  Beauty Joint website (international) and L.A. Girl website (US)

This is a pretty amazing and inexpensive concealer. There are so many shades to choose from, pretty much a colour for every skin tone and even colour correcting shades. The coverage is pretty good, I would say medium coverage and it lasts for hours! It also blends easily and layers very well. Its also pretty amazing at covering dark circles and spots. An all round good concealer.

I have two, one for my hand bag and one for work and I plan on repurchasing and even trying some of the colour correcting shades. Go get some!

OPI Nail Envy for Soft and Thin:
– $49.90 NZD
– Available at Farmers (NZ), Life Pharmacy (NZ)

Where has this been all my life? Its not cheap, especially here in NZ, but so worth it! You can use it as a base coat or just by its self. My nails feel really strong after using it for just a few weeks! I find that if I have a few slightly frayed edges it seals them up enough that they grow out enough to trim and that you can’t seem them through my polish. My polish also seems to last a lot longer with this as the base coat. I am so pleased and will be buying more in the future. 🙂

Schwarzkopf styliste ULTÎME SATIN FRIZZ CONTROL Defrizz Cream:
– Sent for review
– $9.99 NZD
– Available at New World (NZ), Life Pharmacy (NZ), the Warehouse (NZ) in-store and website and Pak N Save (NZ) in-store

My over bleached hair has a bad habit of getting frizzy, especially round the temples. This really helps tame those little poofy bits. I also run this through my hair just before I blow dry it and it stops those pesky fly aways you can sometimes get when drying your hair. I really like it and I love how easily you can find it and how cheap it is 🙂

Formula 10.0.6 Pore Clearing Face Scrub:
– $16.99 NZD
– Available at Farmers (NZ), Life Pharmacy (NZ)

When it comes to face scrubs when I find one I like and it is nice to my skin, I continuously go back to it. I have bought this one quite a few times due to how gentle and reasonably price it is. I do not use face scrub more than once a week, so I don’t require it to be too fancy and this one is just a good all round face scrub. It leaves my skin feeling smooth, but not over scrubbed or dry. Its also pretty good as a body scrub too. I would recommend this to everyone!

Thanks for having a read of July’s product round up. Most of this month was skincare as I didn’t get much of a chance to try some of my new makeup. I now have a small mountain of lipstick that needs swatching so when this week’s assignment is handed in I should be able to get some photos taken.

Have a great weekend!

❤ MaSucree
