How has your week been? Super busy again for me, work has really picked up and all of a sudden my day is over XD Oh well, I have been quietly beavering away at getting things reviewed.
I have a blog post for you today that has long been neglected. I received the Manuka Doctor brightening oil some time ago and I am only writing about it now. Woops 😮 So here it is finally!
“The Manuka Doctor Brightening Facial Oil is a regenerating formula rich in powerful plant extracts designed to visibly brighten and smooth uneven skin tone.”
I really enjoyed how luxurious this felt, it felt very silky. I did have a little trouble smoothing it over my skin, which sometimes could to lead to part of my skin being overdosed with the oil. I did have to wait a good ten or so minutes for it to soak in before I could put something over the top of it. Due to the wait I decided to not use it in the mornin as it did slow down my moring routine. I also found that there was a little residue, not a bad type of residue, that messed with how my foundation sat and set. I worked really well at night and I felt very fancy with it on XD
I found I did get very good results from using the Brightening Facial Oil, my skin looked happier and well rested. I did find that it worked wonder around my eye area where I am very prone to dryness and redness, however on my forehead and on my cheeks I found it messed with my skin a little causing some blemishes. I ended up using it just round my eyes for this reason.
I would not buy this again, the price is not too bad for a facial oil ($29.95 NZD), but I found that it did not fit my skin or my routine well enough for me to want to keep it. It gave good results in one specific area, but I am looking more for a product that helps out all over. This does not mean it is a bad product, but it might suit someone with more thirsty skin than me.
I have two other facials oils that I have been trialing that I am waiting to review as well. Here’s hoping I find something that suits my skin. Sometimes you just have to try things out to see what works for you better, something that works brilliantly for one person may not work at all for you. So, if you get a change to try the Brightening Facial Oil I would recommend giving it a go and seeing if it can fit into your skincare routine.
Hope you have a great day!
