I am back now, having moved house and finally gotten settled in. I even managed to find some space to set up my blogging equipment. I felt bad for not updating in so long.
Soooooo, I have pink hair annnnnd my hair hates me. -_- I over bleached it a few months ago and it has never quite forgiven me. So I changed from purple hair which is hard to maintain and always turns blue and then green. Whenever it was time to do my roots I would have to bleach all over to get rid of the green, which is now why my hair is quite short and hates me. My pink hair fades nicely and can be topped up without bleaching, so all I have to bleach is the roots.
In the meantime though my hair is still in quite a sorry state, in order for it to started talking to me again I have purchased some hair oil to coax it back to life. I purchased Hask Keratin Protein Smoothing Deep Conditioner and Smoothing Oil.
I massage the oil through my hair every night. I don’t rub too much in by my scalp, but I do put it all over, especially the fried ends. I use the deep conditioner after I have washed my hair which is about twice a week. I try and leave the mask in my hair as long as possible before I wash it out. Just like the oil I put the mask all over my hair, with a lighter dose near my scalp.
I have used both for a week, which is not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things, but I have noticed a big difference in that time. My hair sits flatter, it looks shiny, it feels softer and the chewing gum effect whenever I wash it has gone. I still have a bit of breakage, but nothing horrendous. I really feel as though this has helped my hair recover from the big trauma of being bleached. My hair still has a long way to go, but I hope with the help of more of this oil and the protein hair mask they offer it will start to grow again and return to normal.
You can purchase these at most chemists for about $5.9 NZD for the oil and $4.99 NZD for the Deep Conditioner.
Please note that I used this on very thirsty, bleach ravaged hair and you may have different results or your hair may get oiler than mine if you have different hair.
Here’s hoping with every week my hair improves:)
