I have a review for you today of the Manuka Doctor Apirefine Illusionist Rapid Lift Mask. I was sent this to review a month ago and I have been using it at least once a week to get a feel for it. Even Mr Gabby has helped me out with my trials 😉
Lets see what its all about.
About:From Manuka Doctor website: “A rapid lift skin plumping mask for photo-ready skin. Skin feels firmer & appears more even toned & youthful. For when photo-ready skin is required in minutes during the party season, the ApiRefine Illusionist Rapid Lift Mask plumps & lifts tired skin whilst diminishing the appearance of wrinkles within ten minutes of application. The Manuka Doctor ApiRefine Illusionist Rapid Lift Mask visibly enhances radiance and helps reduce the appearance of pores and wrinkles to create an even looking complexion.”
Part of my New Years Revolution this year was to look after myself better, which includes my skin. I have all these amazing cosmetics that I use, but I am quite bad at remembering to work on my skin first. I have been trialling some Plantae skincare that was sent to me, which has greatly helped my skin. I have super sensitive, dry skin that can react to things at the drop of the hat…or just by looking at something it doesn’t like. This means I tend to moisturise and that it is, most exfoliates or masks are out of the questions as I don’t want to spend the next few weeks trying to fix what they did to my skin.
When I got it in the letter box I was a little bit worried about putting it on my skin. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how gentle it was on my skin. I had no irritation from using this product at all. Directions:
Apply Manuka Doctor ApiNourish Illusionist Rapid Lift Mask to dry, clean skin and leave on for 10 minutes. Wipe off excess with a clean cloth.
When its on it tingles a little bit, but it does not feel bad. It has a pleasant smell as well. There is quite a bit in the pot that you get and you don’t need too much, so I still have plenty left.
Did it actually work? I did not expect amazing, miracle results, but I was quite pleased with the results I did get. When I wiped it off I didn’t notice much of a change, except for my skin being a bit smoother. Within half an hour I noticed that my skin looked a lot brighter and plumper. Not swollen, but any dips or lines that I do have were filled in a bit, refreshed would be the word I would use 🙂 It also made any makeup I put over top look fantastic!
The fresh face look lasted a good day, the brighter and smoother feeling last for a few days more. I ended up using this twice a week to keep up the effects and I have no irritations for using it more.
Where to buy:
For a full list of New Zealand retailers click through the following link http://www.manukadr.co.nz/retailers
Manuka Doctor is also available in the UK from Holland and Barrett.
Would I repurchase?:
I still have not made my mind up about whether I would repurchase. I like what it does to my skin, but the price is a little eye watering, $59.95 NZD on their website. I think it is something I would put on my Birthday/Christmas wish list or when I had vouchers at Life Pharmacy. I do like it, but it is a luxury that I might save for big events.
Have you tried anything from Manuka Doctor or anything with Bee Venom in it?
Thanks for stopping by!
