MAC Lipstick in Salon Rouge

MAC Lipstick in Salon Rouge

Good Morning!

So lets get something out of the way…. MAC!!! GAH!!! I LOVE IT!!! I ADORE THE SMELL OF A NEW MAC LIPSTICK!!! SQUEE!!

Ok so that’s all done I can go on to my post. MAC released their Holiday Collection and I was restrained and didn’t buy anything…then I went in store and saw all the pretty packaging then I gave in and purchased Salon Rouge from MAC’s Heirloom Mix collection. We all know I am a sucker for cute packaging and this collection had it in abundance. The lipsticks from this collection came in black tubes with silver glitter embedded in it, the box also matches.

And theeeeen I bought the red lip bag which is on its way from the US at the moment. It all just goes down hill from one lipstick… oh well at least its gorgeous 😉

Check it!

MAC Salon Rouge Packaging 2

Oh man that packaging its right up there with Alluring Aquatic for me. This year has been a good year for packaging.MAC Salon Rouge Tube

MAC describes Salon rouge as a semi matte clean berry red. It is just a few shades darker than your average red to help you vamp it up during the day time.

The colour has amazing pay off, wears well and does not bleed. It is very creamy and does not dry your lips out like some matte lipsticks can. Its a lovely winter shade but I still wear it in NZ despite the seasons attempting to be spring.

Love it!!!MAC Salon Rouge LipI have my eye on No Faux Pas but I am a little unsure, especially since I have bought a lot of pinks this year. But I will keep you updated on that. Have you purchased any of the Heirloom collection?

Anyway thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
