How have you been? I’m sorry that it has been such a long while since you heard from me. My work had a stall at the Auckland Armageddon expo which took up all my time planning and then I was wiped out afterwards. But! Here I am again ready to show off some of the latest additions to my collection.
I love the boxes that Karen Murrell lipsticks come in 🙂
Racy Rita is described as a “magnetic bright raspberry-red shade”. In the tube it looked a little ont he too dark side for me, but we must never judge a lipstick by its colour in the tube, because this lipstick is beautiful and bold.
Just like my previous experiences with Karen Murrell lipsticks this one went on well with good colour payoff. I enjoy having a bit more control over how pigmented I want my lipstick for the day. It can be applied lightly for just a light gloss look or it can be applied fully opaque. Either way you wear it you don’t have to layer it up to get the look you’re after.
I found it lasted for most of the day, meal times wore away some of the lipstick, but there was enough left that if I had to run off after lunch without a touch up no one would have noticed. This is a wonderful throw it on and go lipstick. I also had very little to no bleeding with Racy Rita, which is fantastic for such a bright colour.
Due to all the good for your lips ingredients Karen Murrell puts in their lipstick I can look after my lips without having to give up on colour, which is good for the lazy lipstick wearer like me who always lets their lipsticks win over lip balm XD
If you are after a lip friendly, New Zealand made lipstick I would definitely recommend the Karen Murrell lipsticks. You can purchase them from their website and most health stores and chemists.
Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for some of my new MAC swatches.
❤ Miss T
