Maybelline Dream Smooth Primer Review

Maybelline Dream Smooth Primer Review

Hello Lovelies!

It is time for my first ever MaSucree’s Make-up Musings post!

So today’s post is all about the new Maybelline New York Dream Smooth Primer, which supposedly doesn’t exist on the New Zealand or International Maybelline website O_o It does however exist on the Australian Maybelline website. Who knows why?

Here’s what the website says about the primer:

“Smooths and perfects the skin to create a flawless canvas for effortless make-up application. 100% Smooth Perfection”

And does it deliver? Well keep reading and you’ll find out.

I brought this pot for $22 NZD from Farmers (Lucky me I had a $20 voucher so I technically only paid $2). At first I was a bit peeved that pot was so small (7ml) for the usual price you pay. HOWEVER I have had it for just over a month and I have barely made a dent, you need hardly any to do your whole face.

I have tried a few different primers and this is the best one so far! I find that makeup can sink into my “laugh lines” and the pores round my nose which stresses me out a little as my makeup wont sit even. I tried Benefits Porefessional, which smoothed everything out, but it is a little out of my price range at the moment. So I’ve been on the look out for a smoothing primer, most of them are brightening or long lasting ones BUT finally I found one.

My skin isn’t overly bumpy or anything like that, but boy does it feel amazing after spreading a little bit of this stuff on. The areas I find the most improvements are my nose and around my eyes. My makeup no longer just settles there is odd clumps, but instead spread evenly over my skin. It also seems to help my makeup go on and stay on longer.

I am very impressed with my new Maybelline Dream Smooth Primer. This will be one I will get again, even though the little pot looks insanely small at first for $22  NZD but in reality it is a very good buy.

Five stars :3

Thanks for stopping by.

Till next time!

❤ MaSucree

  1. So that’s why you’ve looked like you’ve had no makeup on but instead just really good skin… Hmm, jealousy may drive me to a Farmers..
